World of Tanks - their most vivid example, a kind of phenomenon. The statistics of this game is truly impressive: its servers are constantly filled with hundreds of thousands of people, and the user base has exceeded 40 million. The fact that two years ago looked like a strange "shooter about tanks", today rattles the whole world. The CIS, Europe, America, Asia - the notorious "did not break through!" Is heard everywhere. What is the secret of all this popularity? Why the world does not get out of the tanks? The unequivocal answer to this question does not seem to exist.
The creators of World of Tanks explain their success with clear planning and competent work of the company´s staff. This, of course, is only rhetoric. Of course, far from stupid people work in Wargaming.net, however, for them, the popularity of the game at first was a surprise.
World of Tanks, despite all its monotony, deserves attention. Fortunately, Wargaming has not yet become a Korean MMO pipeline and so far has been steadily developing its game, regularly adding new features to it, conducting total engine upgrades, introducing more or less tolerable physics and additional tank lines. In the end, it was these developers who once gave us quite good “Operation Bagration”, Order of War and a wonderful Massive Assault. It’s a pity that Wargaming is no longer going to return to its glorious “strategic” past. Counter-Strike on tanks, airplanes and ships is what awaits us in the future. Whether we want to or not.
